is multifaceted and unique
Discover nature, relax in a peaceful alpine setting, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Dolomites while staying in exceptional comfort in our stylish holiday apartments. Our farm is located in a quiet, secluded location, just around 500 metres from the village centre of Klobenstein (Collalbo). Surrounded by forests and meadows, and offering stunning panoramic views of the South Tyrolean mountains, it is the perfect retreat for rest and relaxation as well as an ideal starting point for your hikes, excursions and outdoor activities.
Our younger guests love visiting our gentle Highland cattle and meeting the playful goats Cilly and Franzi along with their lively flock of chickens. Right next to the sun lawn you'll find a small playground with a sandpit, slide and swing, as well as a ping-pong table for exciting matches.
There is plenty of open space to run, play, and explore - making our farm the ideal choice for a family-friendly farm stay in South Tyrol that combines nature, tranquility, and unforgettable mountain experiences.
Charging Station for electric cars
We installed an EV charging station for our guests, allowing you to charge your electric car conviently and affordably directly on the premises.
Experience farm life
Living and working on a farm, in harmony with the seasons and shaped by sun and rain, brings you closer to nature every single day. Life on our working farm in South Tyrol follows the rhythm of the year: from haymaking to pasture planning to caring for our vegetable garden, each season brings its own tasks and traditions. This close connection to nature defines every day life on the farm and makes your farm holiday in the Dolomites a true authentic experience.
Experience farm life up close! Join a guided farm tour, visit our animals in the barn and on the pasture, lend a hand during hay harvest or weed the vegetable garden. What may sound like work at first quickly turns into a meaningful and memorable holiday experience.
Even on rainy days, there is plenty to discover. Bake a delicious homemade cake with farmer Eva or learn how to prepare traditional South Tyrolean dumplings (Knödel) during of our cooking workshops (available for an additional charge).
For us, agriculture means living and working in harmony with nature.
Agriculture
For us, agriculture means living and working in harmony with nature. On our family-run farm in South Tyrol, daily life is shaped by fresh mountain air, unspoilt landscapes and the careful production of healthy food using traditional methods. Our way of farming is mindful, sustainable and far removed from the hustle and bustle of today’s fast-paced world—creating the perfect environment for a farm holiday close to nature.
Nature provides us with everything we need, therefore we treat it with deep respect and responsibility. From the smallest earthworm to colourful butterflies and our cows grazing in the pastures, every animal on the farm plays an important role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem. Protecting biodiversity is a core value of our eco-friendly farm and an experience our guests can truly feel during their stay.
To preserve the natural balance of the soil and the surrounding environment, we completely avoid the use of chemical products. Our farm offers a wonderful opportunity to observe the natural cycle of life: our cows feed exclusively on grass and hay and provide valuable natural fertiliser for our fields. In this way, we give back to nature what it gives us. The soil is enriched with nutrients, allowing our vegetables to grow and thrive naturally—resulting in healthy produce.
Highland cattle
The unmistakable scent in the air tells you immediately: this is home to cows. Gentle Highland cattle that are free to move between the barn and the pasture all year round.
We deliberately chose this hardy cattle breed, still relatively rare in South Tyrol, because its natural robustness allows for outdoor keeping throughout the year and a way of farming that closely respects the animals’ natural needs. One of the remarkable strengths of Highland cattle is their longevity: cows can calve well into old age—often between 15 and 20 years—usually without assistance, directly on the pasture, even during the cold winter months.
Calves stay with their mothers until they reach maturity and are naturally suckled for at least ten months. This close bond reflects our commitment to species-appropriate animal husbandry, animal welfare and a sustainable, respectful approach to farming.
Friendly by nature
and raised with a gentle hand, our Highland cattle are accustomed to human contact and enjoy being brushed and petted. Despite their impressive horns, they are calm, friendly animals with a peaceful nature.
Out of respect for the animals and their natural behaviour, we kindly ask our guests to enter the barn and pasture only when accompanied by a farmer. Mother cows are especially protective of their calves, and maintaining a safe distance ensures the well-being of both animals and visitors.
Vegetables
Vegetables mean diversity—and diversity means flavour. True flavour only develops when produce is allowed to ripen naturally, without the use of chemicals. On our farm, we grow vegetables using mixed cultivation and selected principles of permaculture, working in harmony with nature.
With nothing more than water, fertile soil and sunlight, healthy and natural food is able to grow and thrive. Every day, we discover and appreciate traditional and heirloom varieties, and we look forward with curiosity to all that is still to come. When it comes to vegetables, the diversity of nature knows no limits.
